POP ART PAINTING "HAPPY TIGER"

This painting was my second attempt in pop art. I found this style extremely easy and fun.

This image was painted with acrylic on 50x50 cm canvas.

Firstly I marked guidlines with pencil. Then started working on eyes. Warm colous (reds, oranges, yallow) used to reflect highlights, cold (greens, blues) colours for shadows and downlights.

After area was painted in different colours, details were enhanced with black lines. It is a golden rule to make details stand out to use contrasting colours. Black- white, dark-light.  To create happiness I chose to use few geometric forms and a flower, painting them in three dimentional way.

Turndown side of creating such pieces is filling space with colour. At this point is not easy to see the finished image in your mind. But determination works miracles. And it is important to paint all sides as continuing of picture, unless you wish to use a frame.
